Meet Izy–developing art for a new Flashcard

Every once in a while we get to work with an artist who is creating an illustration of a new character. This is a collaborative process involving the artist, the author, Thinking Ink, and a graphic designer. It’s fun and exciting to see a character come to life in this way.

Here’s a sneak peak at the initial sketch by Ivreese Tong for the character Izy from The Hereafter Bytes by Vincent Scott. This sketch will become a full color illustration to go with a flash fiction story from Vincent that we’ll be publishing on a postcard. That’s our Flashcard format—flash fiction paired with art on a postcard that you can send in the mail.

This project started out as a stretch reward for our Kickstarter backers, but it’s turning out so well, that after the backers get their rewards, we’re going to keep stocking postcards and they’ll be available for purchase.

The Kickstarter Campaign for The Hereafter Bytes Is Funded!

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the wonderfully successful Kickstarter campaign for The Hereafter Bytes by Vincent Scott! We appreciate our backers and also those of you who retweeted and spread the word.

If you want to see the Kickstarter campaign, where we’ll be posting updates about backer rewards, click here kickstarter.com/projects/thinkinginkpress/the-hereafter-bytes.

What’s next?

It will take a couple of weeks for Kickstarter to transfer the funds. Once that happens, we’ll start editing the manuscript and developing the art for backer rewards. When we set the release date for this book, we’ll post an announcement. We’re looking forward to publishing this book!

We’re Launching a Kickstarter for a new sci fi novel The Hereafter Bytes

We’re happy to announce that Thinking Ink Press will be running a Kickstarter campaign March 11-April 1, 2020 for a new sci fi comedy book, The Hereafter Bytes by Vincent Scott.
The Hereafter Bytes book cover

Come for the cyberspace, stay for the laughs. Come for the laughs, stay for the cyberspace.

Romeo is a digital copy of his dead bio self—a ghost—in a spindly robot body. When Romeo’s friend Abigail—a dominatrix with a gift for uncovering secrets—tells Romeo she’s at risk because of dangerous info from a client, Romeo agrees to help her investigate.

Pursued by digital Golden Retrievers and a real-world assassin, Romeo slips in and out of cyberspace in a madcap race for survival. Can he unmask the criminal who threatens the integrity of cyberspace and the real-world economy before it’s too late?

Here’s the link to the project at Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thinkinginkpress/the-hereafter-bytes

If you click this link before March 11, you’ll see the pre-launch page. Once the project goes live, the link will take you to the project page where you’ll see more detail and will be able to back the project.

We hope you’ll check out this campaign. This is a fun book that we believe will appeal to many readers.
