Submission Guidelines

We believe people of all backgrounds deserve to have their voices heard.

We’re especially interested in publishing books on these themes:

  • diverse science fiction and fantasy
  • disability and health
  • neurodiversity
  • inclusive creative writing

We are open to submissions in January, April, and July

We accept simultaneous submissions. Please let us know to disregard your query if you receive an offer to publish from another publisher.

We may take a while to respond (in the interest of maintaining our mental health) but we promise we still love you.

Some short story and poetry submission calls open on a different schedule, see details below.

What we offer:

We pay an advance and/or royalties on everything we publish.

We never charge a fee to publish your book.

We are human editors and publishers.

What we are looking for:

Anything we publish is by people for people. We do not accept AI-generated or AI-edited works.

We mostly publish books that are 20,000 to 80,000 words in length.

Speculative fiction novels and novellas

We publish all kinds of speculative fiction, including but not limited to science fiction, fantasy, and horror.

We're most interested in novels and novellas that amplify disabled, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and other historically under-recognized voices.

Nonfiction books

We're especially interested in books on the following topics:

  • Inclusive writing advice / inspiration / reference books
  • Disability, children's health or parenting topics, and/or diversity
  • Topics that  amplify disabled, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and other historically under-recognized voices.
